NSW:Highway still closed after fatal truck smash, chemical spill

SYDNEY, Feb 27 AAP - A major NSW highway remained closed today as a salvage and chemical
decontamination operation continued at the site of a fatal truck crash in the Blue Mountains.

A semi-trailer laden with a load of mixed chemicals failed to negotiate a sharp bend
at the bottom of Mount Victoria Pass shortly before 11pm (AEDT) on Wednesday.

Police said the vehicle rolled, with hydrochloric acid and herbicide spilling across the road.
